Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Patty & Omar’s wedding day at the gorgeous St. James Cathedral in downtown Orlando. This wedding was one I was looking forward to since I met with Patty and her parents earlier this year, with just that one meeting I knew that the two were so in love and I couldn’t wait to spend the day with them as their shared their love with their closest friends and family!
Patty and Omar define a loving, joyful, intimate couple. The two share a connection that is contagious, Omar knows just what to say to get Patty to smile just perfectly. The two of them made my job SO easy, they rocked their portraits and together we created some beautiful photographs that they will cherish forever. Between the love of Omar and Patty, and the love of all of the family and friends who traveled from distant places, some as far Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, New Jersey, the day was just purely amazing, and one I will forget!
The day started with Omar and Patty getting ready at the beautiful DoubleTree Downtown Orlando surrounded by their bridal party and parents. The moments that they shared with their parents were so beautiful, when a parent sees their child all grown and ready to marry the love of their life, you can just see how proud and full of love they are. From there, we traveled to the St. James Cathedral and had a mass ceremony that was so beautiful, and two were wed! For the reception we went back to the grand ballroom at the DoubleTree, where the room was decorated in Navy and Gold accents, to say it was jaw-droppingly beautiful would be an understatement!
Patty and Omar, I can’t say enough how fun and beautiful your wedding was. Your joy was contagious throughout the day, and I loved being surrounded by it. It was an absolute honor to share the day with you both, and your families, and your friends. I pray that you’ll have decades of love, laughter, health, and everything else that life has to offer you both!
I told the guys to give Omar a hard time and throw their arms around his neck…well they tackled him to the ground! Close enough!
A traditional mariachi band serenaded the bride and groom for their first dance, their music filled the air and was absolutely beautiful!
When it was time to party, this group knew exactly what to do! The dance floor was packed all night, and laughter and music filled the air!
